Police Believe Suspect Knew Victim For Several Years

A Chicago man was charged Monday with the April 18 murder of a transsexual, police said.

Michael R. Davis, 20, of 808 W. 76th St., was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree murder in connection with the death of Krystal Heskin, who was found dead in a Motel 6 in Elk Grove Village on April 18, according to a release from Elk Grove Village police.

Davis was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his home. Police found physical evidence linking Davis to the crime, according to the release.

Heskin was found dead at 1 p.m. on April 18 at the Motel 6, 1601 Oakton St., Elk Grove Village police Chief Stephen Schmidt said. Hotel workers called police after finding Heskin on the bed, fully clothed, Schmidt said.
