The wacky drag queen troupe known as Les Originales packed ’em in at Oasis Nightclub for a two-night stint benefiting the AIDS Assistance Program last week.
For the 12th year in a row, Queens Ginger Allen, Aday Thomas, Tommie Harlow, Bobbie Pin, Cher, Richard Barbaro, Mickey Tomasino and Crystal Glitter donated their time to, as Allen said, “Feed the people!”
Movie-Broadway-TV legend Ruta Lee, fresh from a “Senior Class” performance at the Annenberg Theater, was lured on stage by board member Manny Rodriguez, where she charmed and wheedled an extra $10,000 from the crowd.
The lavish drag show featured sophisticated gowns and unique musical numbers that had audience members rushing the stage to fill the stars’ B- and C-cups with dollars.
