A judge reduced the fines leveled against Leslie Nelson, who was convicted of murdering two law enforcement officers and wounding a third.
On Tuesday, Superior Court Judge Samuel D. Natal, who two weeks ago sentenced Nelson to a life term for the murder of Haddon Heights Patrolman John Norcross, set Nelson’s total fine at $300, covering all three crimes she admitted.
Superior Court Judge Isaiah Steinberg, now retired, had fined Nelson $20,000 for the murder of John McLaughlin, an investigator with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, and the aggravated assault of Richard Norcross, then a Haddon Heights police officer and the older brother of John Norcross.
