Since research points to women hitting their sexual peak after their 30th birthday – and even much later – one can only imagine the climaxes the notorious drag queens of the South will reach as the Armorettes enter their fourth decade.
What originally started as a Sunday night fundraiser at the Armory, a now shuttered gay bar, has turned into one of the iconic experiences of Atlanta’s gay nightlife. The show is now older than many in the club-going scene, and its history still stuns the 13th and newest Armorette, Jason Livingston, who performs as J. Licious.
