She wants records to show name change
Elikishia McIntyre is slowly erasing her old life.
She’s taking hormones and dresses like a woman, but one portion of her life as a man remains indelible — her high school records.
Now she is suing Thornton Township High School District 205 to get the records amended.
McIntyre’s attorney, William J. Borah, says the district has repeatedly refused to have McIntyre’s high school transcripts altered to show that her name is no longer Michael Kyle. Borah says his client, who graduated from the Harvey high school in 1990, wants to apply to college but is uncomfortable sending in transcripts that make no mention of her name change.
